Notification

Working with a new material is only allowed if the material is officially notified.

A new material in itself or as a component of a preparation can only be commercialized in the territory of the European Union when it is notified in a member state by the notification authority. The documentation needed for the notification must be complied by the producer in the territory of the given country; in case the new materials are manufactured abroad, it must be handed in by the undertaking body corporate working in the destination country.

For notifying new hazardous materials the following documents must be attached to the petition: the technical folder, the documentation of the tests, the safety data sheet, a sample of the labelling as well as a declaration of the proposed quantity (tons/year) of the materials produced or imported and the suggested usage and disposal considerations.

In the case of a new material listed in EINECS and already notified in an EU member state, every new producer or importer who does not have the written consent of the notifier has to re-notify the material again.

The compiling of the technical folder, classifying of the material, the preparation of the safety data sheet and labelling is the sole responsibility of the notifier.

Our company undertakes to hand in the technical folder and the Hungarian safety data sheet and labelling to the authorities in charge.
We organize the conduct of physical-chemical, toxicological and ecotoxicological examinations in a cost-efficient way. We have the measurements made in GLP qualified or accredited laboratories and make up the technical folder according to the measured data.

ATTENTION!
According to the amendment of the 25. Act of 2000 about chemical safety (24. Act of 2004): In the case of a new material listed in ELINCS and already notified in an EU member state, every new producer or importer who does not import the new material directly from an EU member state has to re-notify the material again.
